"The fact that you can ship your products anywhere in the world and that it's affordable is unmatched."

Joseph D, Gaming Art Creator, RenderBloom.

When technology meets creative vision

Joseph D. never considered himself an artist. Working full-time in the tech industry, he sought a creative outlet and a side hustle, but initially lacked the traditional artistic skills to bring them to life. Then AI unlocked a new possibility: creating unique, AI-generated digital prints. This tech-enabled creativity became the foundation for his burgeoning print business, RenderBloom.

"I'm not really hands-on artistic," he explains. "But with the advent of things like AI, it's allowed me to put my ideas on paper."

Joseph's breakthrough came when he identified a passionate, underserved market: gaming enthusiasts who want to display their love for "cozy core" games like Animal Crossing and RuneScape.

"These are games that if someone's into it, they're really into it," he explains. "It's the sort of thing they would want to show off like on their walls." Focusing solely on wall art, Joseph tapped into a highly engaged audience eager to display their passion.

His approach is deeply personal, focusing on games he enjoys himself to ensure authentic connection with his target audience.

From post office runs to global reach

Joseph uses AI as a creative partner, and says the democratization of design through AI has opened creative doors previously closed to those without traditional artistic training, allowing Joseph to focus on conceptual creativity rather than technical execution.

His journey to print-on-demand wasn't initially obvious. His first plan involved traditional local printing and manual shipping – until he realized the time and cost implications.

"I thought I'd go to the print shop near me, buy cardboard tubes, and send them out," Joseph recalls. "But it's a lot of work. The upside of using Gelato is that I can get orders out within five minutes instead of a half hour."

Discovering effortless POD

What impressed Joseph most about Gelato was the platform's intuitive and simple design, allowing him to focus on design and marketing rather than logistics. "It's ridiculously easy," he notes, "The platform is simple to use and accessible even for those who are not very tech-savvy."

The affordable global shipping options were also a major draw. "The fact that you can ship anywhere in the world and it's affordable is unmatched." Joseph has already shipped to the UK, US, Germany, and Australia – global reach that would have been impossible with his original local printing plan.

Though a few core designs drive most of his traffic and sales, Joseph says his initial projections were surpassed. "It's way more sales than I thought I'd get, to be honest," he admits.

Unlike many entrepreneurs seeking explosive growth, Joseph values the flexibility his side hustle provides. "I never really wanted to be self-employed running my own business," he explains. "But it's really nice having the option – I can expand it as far as I want or rein it in at any point."

This approach allows him to maintain work-life balance while building something meaningful on his own terms.

The Gelato advantage

For Joseph, Gelato's value proposition is clear: effortless global reach, intuitive platform design, and the freedom to focus on creativity rather than logistics. "The fact that there are production centers around the world and you can ship anywhere in the world affordably is unmatched," he emphasizes.

As Joseph continues balancing his tech career with growing RenderBloom, his story demonstrates how AI tools and print-on-demand platforms can democratize entrepreneurship, making creative business ventures accessible to anyone with passion and ideas – regardless of traditional artistic training.
